Linked Helper wins on price, control and safety. It costs $15 per account per month against $99 for Expandi, and your session and IP stay on your own machine. Expandi looks faster and simpler to start, because a cloud tool is up in minutes. That speed suits people who accept the security and detection risks that come with it.
We make Linked Helper, so you should know whose guide this is. In October 2026 we signed up for Expandi, checked and cross-checked everything, and talked to its support team to get the details straight. The screenshots below come from those tests.
The two are built in opposite ways. Linked Helper is a desktop app that runs on your own computer or VPS. Expandi is a cloud platform that runs from the vendor's servers. That one difference decides who holds your LinkedIn session, which IP LinkedIn sees, what you pay per account and how much control you keep.
Key takeaways
- Linked Helper starts at $15 per month per account (Pro $45). Expandi Business starts at $99 per month. On annual billing that becomes $8.25 and $24.75 for Linked Helper and $79 for Expandi.
- Linked Helper runs as a desktop app with its own built-in browser engine on Windows, macOS or Ubuntu. Deploy it on a VPS or VDS and you get a cloud-like setup with the benefits of both worlds. Expandi runs fully in the cloud.
- Linked Helper gives a 14-day free trial with no credit card. Expandi gives 7 days and asks for a card.
- At the start of October the ratings on the three review sites we checked look like this: G2 4.5 against 4.2, Capterra 4.9 against 4.4, Trustpilot 4.8 against 4.4. Weighted by review count, that is 4.78 across 893 reviews against 4.33 across 420.
- At 20 accounts, hosting and proxies included, Linked Helper costs about $420 a month against $1,980 for Expandi, before VAT.
Which Is Better, Linked Helper or Expandi?

Which Tool Has More Features?
Linked Helper has more built in. That means 30+ features, 15 native integrations (with Zapier, Make and webhooks on top) and deeper AI features. Expandi has three native CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive) with webhooks in and out, and its one clear edge is email steps inside the same sequence.

Quick key. Yes means the feature is there and works. Partial means it works, with strings attached. No means we tested the tool and did not find it.
Does Expandi Have an Email Finder and Message Export?
Not in the way you would expect. There is no dedicated email finder, and messages cannot be exported. Docs only go so far, so we opened a trial account and asked Expandi support to be sure.
If you plan to enrich cold lists with verified emails, budget for a separate finder. We asked support about email, and they replied that the software scrapes publicly available LinkedIn information, including email addresses. In our reading that is a by-product of visiting a profile, not a lookup you can run on a list.

Expandi support chat from our trial account. The answer on email addresses, in the vendor's own words.
If you ever leave Expandi, your conversations stay behind. On history, the answer was shorter. You can export lead information, but support said exporting messages is not supported. In Linked Helper the history sits in the built-in CRM, with CSV and webhook export on Pro.

Same chat, second question. Support says exporting messages is not supported.
How Much Do Linked Helper and Expandi Cost?
Linked Helper is cheaper at every size, and the gap widens with every account you add. It starts at $15 per account per month against $99 for Expandi, and at 20 accounts the Pro plan costs $720 against $1,980. The reason is bulk discounts. Linked Helper applies them automatically, 10% off at 10 accounts and 20% off at 20, and they go up to 50% off for larger teams. Expandi publishes no discount schedule and says only that more seats mean bigger discounts. From 10 seats it moves you to an Agency plan priced on request, so what you pay is a sales conversation.
| Accounts | Linked Helper Pro | Expandi Business | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $45 per month | $99 per month | 55% less |
| 10 | $405 per month | $990 per month | 59% less |
| 20 | $720 per month | $1,980 per month | 64% less |
| 20, over 12 months | $8,640 | $23,760 | $15,120 saved |
List prices in USD billed monthly, checked October 2026, excluding taxes, add-ons and hosting. Linked Helper Pro includes the 10% and 20% volume discounts.
Expandi's own pricing page confirms the base numbers. Business is $99 per month with a 7-day trial, and Agency is custom from 10 seats.

Expandi pricing page, October 2026. Business at $99 per month with a 7-day trial, Agency on request from 10 seats.
Linked Helper Standard starts at $15 per account, so the first row is the Pro plan against Expandi Business. From 10 seats Expandi offers an Agency plan priced on request, so these figures use its Business list price.
Linked Helper sells licences for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months instead of an auto-renewing subscription. The $8.25 figure is a 12-month licence billed once at $99. One licence runs one LinkedIn account at a time, so we quote prices per account. Duration and bulk discounts stack, and bulk discounts apply when the licences are on one invoice (licensing and discounts).
What Does a 20-Account Agency Really Pay?
A 20-account team pays about $420 a month with Linked Helper and $1,980 plus VAT with Expandi, even after counting the hosting we added. List prices are only part of the bill, so we ran the full cost for one scenario. Five managers, 20 LinkedIn accounts, outreach feeding HubSpot, campaigns running 24/7, 400 email lookups per account and 850 follow-ups. Linked Helper lives on your own machines, so we added the hosting it needs. Expandi is cloud, so it needs none.
| Cost line | Linked Helper Standard | Expandi Business |
|---|---|---|
| Licences | $240 (20 × $15, 20% volume discount) | $1,980 (20 × $99) |
| Servers | $100 (5 Windows VPS at about $20, assumption) | Included |
| Proxies | $80 (20 at about $4, assumption) | Included |
| Email finder, 8,000 lookups | Included (12,400 credits a month that never expire) | Not available, needs a third-party tool |
| Total per month | $420 | $1,980 plus VAT and email finder |
| Total per year, annual billing | $312 per month, $3,744 | $1,580 per month, $18,960 |
Monthly cost for 20 accounts, USD, October 2026. VPS and proxy prices are our assumptions, not vendor prices. Expandi figures exclude VAT.
Annual billing does not close the gap. Expandi drops to $79 per account, still about five times the Linked Helper bill. Three costs do not show on its pricing page. VAT is added on top (21% in the Netherlands brings the year to about $22,942), image and GIF personalization is a paid add-on, and annual prepay is not refundable.
Which Plan Is the Cheapest Way In?
At Linked Helper the cheapest plan is also the real minimum. Standard at $15 per account passes every check we set for a minimum viable setup, which we defined as the cheapest plan that still runs a real outreach campaign. Expandi has no cheaper tier: Business at $99 is its entry plan, and it is the only one you can start on without talking to sales. Here is what each entry plan gives you.
| What you need | Linked Helper Standard, $15 | Linked Helper Pro, $45 | Expandi Business, $99 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Multistep sequences | Yes, no step limit | Yes | Yes, with email steps |
| If/then branching | In message templates, plus routing by outcome | Same as Standard | Yes, 11 conditions in the campaign flow |
| Stop when a lead replies | Yes | Yes | Yes, the sequence can pause on a reply |
| Campaigns running at once | One per account | One per account | No cap documented |
| Lead export to CSV | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Message history export | No | Yes | No |
| CRM and webhook sends | 20 profiles a day | Unlimited | Yes |
| Data credits per month | 620 | 3,100 | No email finder |
Entry plans compared, October 2026. Linked Helper from its licensing page, Expandi from its Help Center and our test.

Standard is the real minimum. It has the multistep sequences, reply stop and safety settings that most solo outreach needs, for $15. Expandi's $99 buys you branching and email steps, at 6.6 times the price. Move up to Pro only if you need message export, bigger credit pools or more than 20 CRM sends a day.

Unlike classic cloud tools, we have no servers that run your campaigns. You install Linked Helper wherever you choose, on a laptop or on a VPS you rent, and that is where the control comes from. Your cookies, your session, your IP and your lead data stay on that machine. On a VPS campaigns run around the clock, you can log in from any device and you can give a teammate access. It is also LinkedIn-first, so teams that need native cold-email sequencing should pair it with a dedicated email tool.
What Do You Get With Expandi?

Expandi home page, October 2026.
Expandi positions itself as a cloud LinkedIn outreach platform for teams that want conditional campaign logic and LinkedIn plus email follow-up in one place, with smart sequences, dynamic placeholders, scheduling controls, blacklists, roles, permissions and client reporting.
- Runs in the cloud, from an IP address the provider assigns to you
- An IP in the country you choose, and profile auto warm-up. We recommend checking that IP's reputation, because it is not always clean
- Smart sequences and conditional flows
- LinkedIn plus email follow-up
- Dynamic placeholders, tags, notes and templates
- Blacklist and duplicate prevention
- Agency roles, permissions, reports and white-label options
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual equivalent | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business | $99 per month | $79 per month | Small sales teams using cloud outreach |
| Agency | Custom | Custom | Agencies with 10 or more seats |
G2's review summary notes slowdowns, technical issues, delays, integration issues, credit limitations and complexity as recurring cons. Expandi also asks for a credit card to start its 7-day trial.
Is Linked Helper or Expandi Safer?
Linked Helper keeps your session and IP on your side, while Expandi holds both in its cloud. This is where the two differ most, so we tested it instead of describing it.
Is Expandi a Safe Cloud Tool?
With Linked Helper, the LinkedIn session is created inside the desktop app on your machine and is not uploaded to a vendor cloud for campaign execution. With Expandi there are two connection paths. You can sign in through the cloud login flow, or use the optional Cloud Bridge Extension. Both move LinkedIn execution into Expandi's environment.
In October 2026 we unpacked the Expandi Connector extension (version 1.1, Manifest V3). In the package we reviewed, it requested the cookie permission, read the li_at cookie, read JSESSIONID for CSRF handling, intercepted Voyager-style API responses and sent session data to app.expandi.io.

Our diagram of what the Expandi Connector extension (version 1.1) reads and sends, based on the package we unpacked in October 2026.
Expandi says each account gets a dedicated IP. We asked support what IP an account gets. It is a data-center IP in the country you choose, and a custom proxy is optional. Our own test found problems with the quality of those IPs.

Expandi support chat from our trial account. A dedicated data-center IP per account, custom proxy optional.
The IPs we received were not all of the kind support described. We ran a live Expandi cloud test from France, and the two accounts got different kinds of IP. One was a French IPv4 address from Scaleway cloud hosting and the other an IPv6 address from Orange.

LinkedIn's active-sessions page during our Expandi cloud test. It shows the IP that LinkedIn recorded for the session.
A dedicated IP is not a clean IP. In a cloud tool you get whatever address the vendor hands out, and nobody is insured against a bad one. Our IPQualityScore check showed it. One IP showed high-risk (100 out of 100) hosting signals, while the other looked cleaner. That is one test, so it is no verdict on every Expandi account, but it is a risk you cannot check or fix yourself without bringing your own proxy.

IPQualityScore lookup of the IP seen in that session. It describes our test, not every Expandi account.
Expandi's account controls help, but they do not remove the cloud-custody trade-off. It lists 96 locations, supports bring-your-own proxy setup and offers timezone selection, which keep geography and working hours consistent, and that is more than some cloud tools expose.
How Does Linked Helper Keep You in Control?
Linked Helper's answer is different. Activity runs from your own IP or a proxy you control, with daily limits, randomized delays, working hours and a proxy checker visible in the app. Linked Helper was not part of the cloud test, because it does not run from vendor infrastructure.
The proxy checker shows what you would otherwise discover after a restriction. For each proxy it reports the country, a fraud score from IPQualityScore and whether the IP has been used by bots, crawlers or VPN and proxy services. A proxy is marked Good or Bad, and the app recommends replacing a Bad one. It warns rather than blocks, so the decision stays yours.

Pacing is set in the same app. The default daily limit is 150 actions, with a Smart Daily Limit Adjustment that varies the daily count so it never lands on the same round number, and separate limits per action type. The help center recommends 150 for accounts older than a year and advises against raising it.

Linked Helper limits settings. The default cap is 150 actions per 24 hours, with per-action limits below it.
Do Campaigns Stop When the Computer Is Off?
Only if you leave Linked Helper on a laptop you close (the help center says so too). Run it on a VPS you rent and campaigns stay online around the clock, from an environment you control.
Expandi's own switching guide lists exactly this as the pain point of Linked Helper, that campaigns stop when your computer does.

What Do Users Say About Each Tool?
Users rate Linked Helper higher on all three review sites. Counting every review together, Linked Helper has 893 reviews at a weighted average of 4.78 out of 5, and Expandi has 420 at 4.33.
| Site | Linked Helper | Expandi |
|---|---|---|
| G2 | 4.5 (149 reviews) | 4.2 (153 reviews) |
| Capterra | 4.9 (278 reviews) | 4.4 (31 reviews) |
| Trustpilot | 4.8 (466 reviews) | 4.4 (236 reviews) |
| All three, weighted | 4.78 (893 reviews) | 4.33 (420 reviews) |
The weighted average multiplies each site's score by its number of reviews and divides by the total. The three sites have different audiences and review rules, so treat it as a summary and not as a single official score.
G2 reviewers of Linked Helper often mention time savings, campaign control, follow-up automation and value for money. Expandi reviewers praise personalization depth and support. Ratings were checked in October 2026.
Which One Should You Choose?
Pick Linked Helper for price, features and control. Pick Expandi only if you want a ready-made cloud setup with email steps and accept the security and detection risks that come with it.
| Your situation | Better fit |
|---|---|
| Lowest cost per account | Linked Helper |
| Your own IP and session stay with you | Linked Helper |
| Many accounts, volume discounts | Linked Helper |
| LinkedIn and email steps in one sequence | Expandi |
How Do You Switch From Expandi to Linked Helper?
In six steps, using the 14-day Linked Helper trial that needs no card.
- Write down what you actually use in Expandi, such as conditional flows, email steps and placeholders. Email steps are the one thing Linked Helper handles through an integration instead of natively.
- Download the Linked Helper desktop app for Windows, macOS or Ubuntu and start the 14-day trial. No credit card is needed. The first-campaign guide walks you through it.
- Sign in to LinkedIn inside the app. A proxy is optional if you run only your own account. For several accounts on one machine, assign each its own HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS or SOCKS5 proxy (IPv4 only) and run the built-in proxy checker. Residential, ISP and mobile proxies are the better choice, because datacenter IPs are the ones most often flagged.
- Rebuild one campaign in the campaign builder. Set daily limits, working hours and delays, and turn on reply detection so the sequence stops for people who answer.
- Run it on a small batch and compare replies in the built-in CRM. We recommend not running both tools on the same LinkedIn account at the same time.
- Cancel Expandi when you are satisfied, and check whether you pay monthly or annually so you do not lose a paid period.
